Communication Error
Caden and I went to Barnes and Nobles the other day to look at books. I think we both could look at children's book all day! Anyway I let him pick out a book because you can never have too many. :) We go up to pay for it and he takes a turn into the Starbucks next door. He runs to the counter and starts saying "chi chis". I try to guess what he is saying. I ask him several things and still nothing is right. Well we pay for the book and leave. He is still saying "chi chis" as we walk out the door. We are both getting frustrated because i don't know what he is saying. I ask him if he is saying cookie and he says yea. okay so he wants a cookie. It is getting close to lunch time so I drive by McDonald's on the way home to rent a movie, and I get him a cookie and some juice while we are there. He does not want the cookie after all that. He runs back to the counter and starts saying "chi chis" again. So I order a small fri. Once we get them I show him and he runs to the table and sits there and eats them all. He was talking about French fries that whole time. I guess he thought you could run up to any food counter and order French Fries. :) Well at least now I know what that word means. I have a feeling this has only just begun!
Date night
Chris was working, so Caden and I decided to go on a date. I decided to let Caden have the McDonald's experience. So we go in and I get him a happy meal. We had a great time just eating, talking and playing. (He LOVES french fries by the way) After He ate we went up to get an ice cream cone. He loved it! It was his first one. When he got close to the cone I taught him that he could eat it. He thought that was so cool and did his classic WOW! Then all he wanted to do was eat the cone:) He is so cute! I love that we can do more things together now.

Ice Cream For breakfast...Just this once:)
Okay so this morning I am unloading the dishwasher. Pretty soon here comes Caden to help. Of course he starts unloading it instead. I finally get everything back in except the ice cream scooper. He will not put it back, okay fine he might use it to bang on some pans. Well about a min. later he comes and hands it to me. I think he is done so I put it on the counter. He starts fussing. so I pick it up again. I ask him what he wants(I am thinking surly he does not know what this is). He takes my hand and pulls me to the freezer. I open it up and sure enough he picks up the ice cream tub and gives me a smile. How could I resist... I gave him a little scoop and then through a smile I explained that this was not going to be the new morning routine. I guess I really underestimated him on that one.

Sarah and Robin

This last Week Caden had his cousin Sarah to visit. She is 2 and a half. It was fun to see them play together and develop a bond. They kind of had a love/not so loving relationship. They were happy to see each other and 30 sec later they were at it. It was a crazy week. Let's just say we went to the park a lot so they could get their energy out. Then his newest cousin Robin came to stay with us. He loves to hug her but his is too strong for his own good.
It is great to be so close to family and that Caden can know who his cousins are.
