Last Weekend

Here are a few pics from this past weekend. We really packed it in! My mom. granny, and Jordan went to the women's retreat at first. It was an awesome time together. (pic to come. all I can say is my granny has rhythm :)) Then I rushed home and Caden and I went to his friends birthday party! Caden had a blast! Happy Birthday Gavin! Then Sunday we went to church, saw Roj, then headed out to my parents. They are moving soon so we get some of their leftovers. All I can say is our house is going to be lit up at Christmas time.:) We spent the night over there Sun and went and saw grammy on Mon. Then I had to take caden to the Doctor for a check up. He was not happy. My Little boy is getting so big...3'6 and 45lbs. Ok I am going to go cry now...
Steph is in town this weekend so I will be posting more pics soon!!!

The Boy in the Red Hat

So Caden decided he really likes this old hat of chris'. Every once and a while he will have a day where he will not want to take it off. So this particular day he had been wearing this hat most of the day and it was time for bath, and he still did not want to take it off. So I finally get his clothes off without taking off the hat and then he takes off around the house in nothing but his hat. Well I had to grab the camera and take a few shots it was too cute :)
Trying to wash his hair with his hat on:)

Cheese!!!!!!!!!!!

He was showing me how old he is....

Family Bikes!!

So We woke up Saturday morning and decided to go hit some garage sales. We were on a mission for bikes. :) Every time Caden sees a bike he can't help himself he has to get on it. So we decided it was time for him to trade in his tricycle...and another piece to the big boy puzzle is put into place. Ooohhh it happens so fast!
Well anyway I am happy to report we were successful!!
Chris' Bike = $35
My Bike = $15
Caden's Bike = a whopping $1.00
Family Bike Rides Priceless :)
As a side note can you believe we got Caden's bike for $1. It was a little girls bike so Chris sanded it down, and spray painted it orange and black, put on new grips, and added on my training wheels from when I was a little girl:) and presto new bike!!
Just this morning Caden and I enjoyed a morning bike ride together to the park. I look forward many more sweet times...
Enjoy the pics...I will post a video soon :)

Family

One of my favorite things is family time. It doesn't matter when or where or if it is just us three or everyone from both sides, there is just a warmth that fills you when you are with your family. This week in Florida I had a lot of time to reflect on what a precious blessing God has given us in Family. A family is made up of people so it is not perfect by any means, but our situations, strengths, and weaknesses are what bring us so close together...

Caden is getting to a really fun age. He also has his fair share of opinions, and whenever it was his turn to choose what we did, he chose putt-putt :) We played twice last week! He also enjoyed his fair share of the pool and the beach! Being out in Gods beautiful creation with my family was the best!

Please stay tuned. there will be more soon.

I'm the boss applesauce!

My Sweet Caden is now having to get a little reality check. He has all of a sudden become really bossy. I realized we needed to start working on this when he would wake up in the morning and shout at me from the couch "maw chocolate milk...T.V. show...!" As much as I love waking up to my child shouting demands at me it is time to nip this thing in he bud. It all starts when you are just overjoyed that they can communicate what they want from you, that you just do whatever they ask, and then at some point it takes a sharp left into bossiness. Understandable, yes because since they have been born they have been the center of your universe, but not acceptable. So This is what I am working on now with Caden, and he is doing great! He is growing up so fast!

on a sad note our little puppy Maggie is no longer with us she was stolen! Who would do such a thing?! So if you wonder why there are not anymore stories about her that is why:(

On another note we finally sold our house in Nashville!!!!!after almost 2 years!! Praise the Lord! Nashville still has my heart though and Lord willing I will be back!:)

Head sholders bow and toe

So caden and I are in the car yesterday and he starts singing bow...toe...bow...toe. I asked him if he was trying to sing head shoulders knees and toes and he said yes, but it took him a long time to get that his knee is not another elbow on his body. If you think about it though you got to give him credit. The knee does do the same thing for the leg that an elbow does for and arm :)
Anyway I am sure that if anyone at the light was looking in our car they got a laugh as we did the speed round of head shoulders knees and toes:)

Caden and Gigi

Caden wanted to do a silly face, but did not tell Gigi.

We went over to visit on Sat and had a great time even though it was raining.
Caden Loves Gigi and Poppy's house!

We are welcoming a puppy into our world. I know it is the last thing I expected too:) Her Name is Maggie. She is only 8 weeks old , and we are having fun with her so far. She is great with kids and really smart! Caden is learning to treat her gently. They already compete somewhat with each other, but they also play well together :)
There will be more stories to come I am sure, but until then enjoy this cute pic!

Hungry?

So at 6:30 this morning I wake up to a crackling sound. I am wondering what it is so I get up and see Caden in the kitchen pouring himself a bowl of cereal! He had gotten out a Tupperware bowl from the lower cabinet, and Chris had left the cereal out on the counter from the night before, so he decided to help himself. When he saw me he said "maw my eat cerl k." Okay caden you go. Now one can dream of the day where this happens and I can go back to bed and not worry, but I knew he would go after the milk next and that would have been a whole other story:) so cartoons and cereal here we come.

Hope you have a great day!

It has been a while

Hey!

So I decided it was time to update my blog and give the blogging another go around:)
Instead of trying to catch you up I will tell you the latest and try and start updating more.
Life with a two and a half year old is really interesting, and I can't believe he will be three in July. Crazy! Anyway he surprises me everyday with something. Recently he went into our room which he does and after a minute I did not here anything. So as I am about to go in there he comes out of the room covered in red lipstick. Some did make it on his lips, but it was all over his arms and legs as well. I know this was going to happen one day I guess it is one of those things you picture. I could not help, but laugh! Now I know you are expecting a picture, but I was so worried about it staining that I just washed it off without thinking(I know, I know bad blogger, bad blogger) I am sure there will be something else soon. I do however have some pics of us going to the rodeo with my friend Jordan that may hold you over until next time:) Caden loved that as well.
Chris is working a lot, but it is fun stuff mostly that he enjoys. I wish I was a professional at my hobby so I could do it all the time and make money too! (Self Note* add to list first find time for a hobby)Anyway other than that he is being a great daddy, and Caden loves spending boy time with daddy. As for me I am still blessed to be able to stay home with Caden, I am involved in MOPS, and I look forward to Thursdays (Mother's day out). I am also hoping to tackle a class or to come fall. We shall see!
Thanks for reading and keep watching for updates
